Hi, I’m Nina Ward BA(hons), MrSS. I am a qualified Shiatsu, Acupressure and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner and I offer a selection of treatments, along with a range of services designed to improve physical, mental, and emotional, health & wellbeing.
I enjoy yoga, meditation, tai chi, qigong and have a passion for women’s health, specialising in female puberty, perimenopause, and menopause. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and therapies to help ease the often rollercoaster ride which is alternatively known as the ‘Two Gateways of Change’ (puberty & menopause).
I first discovered Shiatsu whilst working at an event. I observed a colleague giving a therapy that I was unfamiliar with. I was captivated as I saw the therapist not only work with the body, but listening at each step of the treatment to how the body was responding, and progressing accordingly. I was mesmerised. Some time later, I was able to attend an introductory weekend, just to find out more about this beautifully communicative therapy and I quite quickly learnt that the therapy was called Shiatsu (Shee-At-Soo) and not Shih Tzu (the dog breed) as I had been referring to it as!
I was so smitten by what I learnt that weekend that I continued with the Shiatsu College for 3 years of study and training, to graduate and obtain qualified practitioner status.
I now enjoy sharing this beautiful healing art with clients, to address health issues and witness them move out of physical or emotional pain and into feeling balanced, functional, and experiencing vitality. It is truly an honour to play a part in that journey.
I am a member of the Shiatsu Society, Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNCH) and fully insured through Balens Insurance.
