  • Shiatsu (pronounced SHEE-AT-SOO) is a form of massage / therapeutic bodywork where the practitioner manipulates pressure points (also known as Acupuncture Points) along the client’s body. Treatments may also include the stretching or rotation of specific limbs and joints. Shiatsu can stimulate circulation and blood flow, restore the nervous, lymphatic and hormone systems, increase endorphins (the body’s natural painkillers), improve stamina and vitality, enhance coordination and range of motion, lower blood pressure and heart rate.
  • Is the treatment painful?
  • No, Shiatsu will work to your body’s limits and not beyond. Your practitioner may talk to you throughout the session to ensure your maximum comfort is achieved.
